Don Franklin Family of Dealerships got its humble beginning in 1968 when Don Franklin, a Columbia, Kentucky native and self-taught mechanic, aspired to own his own dealership. With the support of his wife, Barbara, the Franklins invested their life savings to start their own used car lot in Columbia-Don’s Used Cars. With hard work and commitment to customer service Don, Barbara, and their children, Eddie and Dan managed to grow that small community dealership to a thriving dealership group consisting of 19new dealership franchisees carrying an average of over 5,000 vehicles, employing over 1000 Kentucky families, and serving over 30 Kentucky communities.
